How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for '21st Century Breakdown' by Green Day

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Green Day tracks to try and understand what made Green Day tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Green Day's music. We then listened to the song '21st Century Breakdown' byGreen Day, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of '21st Century Breakdown'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on '21st Century Breakdown' by Green Day. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on '21st Century Breakdown' by Green Day, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Green Day track '21st Century Breakdown'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Green Day, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on '21st Century Breakdown', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Green Day song ' 21st Century Breakdown'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
