In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Steeleye Span tracks to try and understand what made Steeleye Span tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Steeleye Span's music. We then listened to the song 'All Around My Hat' bySteeleye Span, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'All Around My Hat'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'All Around My Hat' by Steeleye Span. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'All Around My Hat' by Steeleye Span, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Steeleye Span track 'All Around My Hat'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Steeleye Span, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'All Around My Hat', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Steeleye Span song ' All Around My Hat'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
