How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Autumn Almanac' by The Kinks

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Kinks tracks to try and understand what made The Kinks tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with The Kinks's music. We then listened to the song 'Autumn Almanac' byThe Kinks, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Autumn Almanac'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Autumn Almanac' by The Kinks. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Autumn Almanac' by The Kinks, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original The Kinks track 'Autumn Almanac'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to The Kinks, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Autumn Almanac', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Kinks song ' Autumn Almanac'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
