How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Best Thing I Never Had' by Beyonce

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Beyonce tracks to try and understand what made Beyonce tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Beyonce's music. We then listened to the song 'Best Thing I Never Had' byBeyonce, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Best Thing I Never Had'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Best Thing I Never Had' by Beyonce. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Best Thing I Never Had' by Beyonce, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Beyonce track 'Best Thing I Never Had'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Beyonce, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Best Thing I Never Had', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Beyonce song ' Best Thing I Never Had'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
