In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Jack Johnson tracks to try and understand what made Jack Johnson tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Jack Johnson's music. We then listened to the song 'Better Together' byJack Johnson, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Better Together'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Better Together' by Jack Johnson. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Better Together' by Jack Johnson, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Jack Johnson track 'Better Together'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Jack Johnson, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Better Together', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Jack Johnson song ' Better Together'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG).
