How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Big Man' by Four Preps

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Four Preps tracks to try and understand what made Four Preps tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Four Preps's music. We then listened to the song 'Big Man' byFour Preps, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Big Man'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Big Man' by Four Preps. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Big Man' by Four Preps, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Four Preps track 'Big Man'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Four Preps, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Big Man', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Four Preps song ' Big Man'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
