How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Big Seven' by Judge Dread

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Judge Dread tracks to try and understand what made Judge Dread tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Judge Dread's music. We then listened to the song 'Big Seven' byJudge Dread, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Big Seven'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Big Seven' by Judge Dread. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Big Seven' by Judge Dread, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Judge Dread track 'Big Seven'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Judge Dread, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Big Seven', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Judge Dread song ' Big Seven'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
