In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Jeremih tracks to try and understand what made Jeremih tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Jeremih's music. We then listened to the song 'Birthday Sex' byJeremih, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Birthday Sex'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Birthday Sex' by Jeremih. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Birthday Sex' by Jeremih, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Jeremih track 'Birthday Sex'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Jeremih, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Birthday Sex', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Jeremih song ' Birthday Sex'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
