How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Blueberry Hill' by Fats Domino

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Fats Domino tracks to try and understand what made Fats Domino tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Fats Domino's music. We then listened to the song 'Blueberry Hill' byFats Domino, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Blueberry Hill'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Blueberry Hill' by Fats Domino. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Blueberry Hill' by Fats Domino, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Fats Domino track 'Blueberry Hill'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Fats Domino, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Blueberry Hill', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Fats Domino song ' Blueberry Hill'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
