How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Boom Boom Pow' by Black Eyed Peas

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Black Eyed Peas tracks to try and understand what made Black Eyed Peas tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Black Eyed Peas's music. We then listened to the song 'Boom Boom Pow' byBlack Eyed Peas, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Boom Boom Pow'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Boom Boom Pow' by Black Eyed Peas. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Boom Boom Pow' by Black Eyed Peas, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Black Eyed Peas track 'Boom Boom Pow'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Black Eyed Peas, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Boom Boom Pow', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Black Eyed Peas song ' Boom Boom Pow'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
