How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Boys Will Be Boys' by The Ordinary Boys

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Ordinary Boys tracks to try and understand what made The Ordinary Boys tracks sound so good! SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Boys Will Be Boys' by The Ordinary Boys. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Boys Will Be Boys' by The Ordinary Boys, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original The Ordinary Boys track 'Boys Will Be Boys'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to The Ordinary Boys, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Boys Will Be Boys', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Ordinary Boys song ' Boys Will Be Boys'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
