How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Can't Get It Back' by Mis-Teeq

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Mis-Teeq tracks to try and understand what made Mis-Teeq tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Mis-Teeq's music. We then listened to the song 'Can't Get It Back' byMis-Teeq, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Can't Get It Back'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Can't Get It Back' by Mis-Teeq. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Can't Get It Back' by Mis-Teeq, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Mis-Teeq track 'Can't Get It Back'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Mis-Teeq, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Can't Get It Back', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Mis-Teeq song ' Can't Get It Back'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
