How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Canned Heat' by Jamiroquai

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Jamiroquai tracks to try and understand what made Jamiroquai tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Jamiroquai's music. We then listened to the song 'Canned Heat' byJamiroquai, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Canned Heat'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Canned Heat' by Jamiroquai. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Canned Heat' by Jamiroquai, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Jamiroquai track 'Canned Heat'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Jamiroquai, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Canned Heat', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Jamiroquai song ' Canned Heat'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
