In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many George Michael tracks to try and understand what made George Michael tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with George Michael's music. We then listened to the song 'Careless Whisper' byGeorge Michael, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Careless Whisper'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Careless Whisper' by George Michael. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Careless Whisper' by George Michael, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original George Michael track 'Careless Whisper'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to George Michael, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Careless Whisper', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The George Michael song ' Careless Whisper'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
