How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Carribean Queen' by Billy Ocean

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Billy Ocean tracks to try and understand what made Billy Ocean tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Billy Ocean's music. We then listened to the song 'Carribean Queen' byBilly Ocean, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Carribean Queen'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Carribean Queen' by Billy Ocean. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Carribean Queen' by Billy Ocean, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Billy Ocean track 'Carribean Queen'.

We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Billy Ocean song ' Carribean Queen'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
