How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Cha Cha Slide' by DJ Casper

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many DJ Casper tracks to try and understand what made DJ Casper tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with DJ Casper's music. We then listened to the song 'Cha Cha Slide' byDJ Casper, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Cha Cha Slide'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Cha Cha Slide' by DJ Casper. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Cha Cha Slide' by DJ Casper, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original DJ Casper track 'Cha Cha Slide'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to DJ Casper, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Cha Cha Slide', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The DJ Casper song ' Cha Cha Slide'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
