How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'City Of Blinding Lights' by U2

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many U2 tracks to try and understand what made U2 tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with U2's music. We then listened to the song 'City Of Blinding Lights' byU2, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'City Of Blinding Lights'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'City Of Blinding Lights' by U2. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'City Of Blinding Lights' by U2, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original U2 track 'City Of Blinding Lights'.
