How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Coming Home Now' by Boyzone

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Boyzone tracks to try and understand what made Boyzone tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Boyzone's music. We then listened to the song 'Coming Home Now' byBoyzone, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Coming Home Now'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Coming Home Now' by Boyzone. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Coming Home Now' by Boyzone, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Boyzone track 'Coming Home Now'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Boyzone, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Coming Home Now', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Boyzone song ' Coming Home Now'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
