In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many K.D. Lang tracks to try and understand what made K.D. Lang tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with K.D. Lang's music. We then listened to the song 'Constant Craving' byK.D. Lang, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Constant Craving'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Constant Craving' by K.D. Lang. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Constant Craving' by K.D. Lang, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original K.D. Lang track 'Constant Craving'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to K.D. Lang, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Constant Craving', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The K.D. Lang song ' Constant Craving'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
