How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Do Ya' by Electric Light Orchestra

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Electric Light Orchestra tracks to try and understand what made Electric Light Orchestra tracks sound so good! SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Do Ya' by Electric Light Orchestra. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Do Ya' by Electric Light Orchestra, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Electric Light Orchestra track 'Do Ya'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Electric Light Orchestra, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Do Ya', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Electric Light Orchestra song ' Do Ya'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
