How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Do You Still' by East 17

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many East 17 tracks to try and understand what made East 17 tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with East 17's music. We then listened to the song 'Do You Still' byEast 17, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Do You Still'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Do You Still' by East 17. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Do You Still' by East 17, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original East 17 track 'Do You Still'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to East 17, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Do You Still', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The East 17 song ' Do You Still'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
