In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Mama Cass tracks to try and understand what made Mama Cass tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Mama Cass's music. We then listened to the song 'Dream A Little Dream' byMama Cass, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Dream A Little Dream'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Dream A Little Dream' by Mama Cass. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Dream A Little Dream' by Mama Cass, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Mama Cass track 'Dream A Little Dream'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Mama Cass, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Dream A Little Dream', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Mama Cass song ' Dream A Little Dream'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
