How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Dress You Up' by Madonna

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Madonna tracks to try and understand what made Madonna tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Madonna's music. We then listened to the song 'Dress You Up' byMadonna, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Dress You Up'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Dress You Up' by Madonna. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Dress You Up' by Madonna, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Madonna track 'Dress You Up'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Madonna, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Dress You Up', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Madonna song ' Dress You Up'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
