How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Drop The Boy' by Bros

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Bros tracks to try and understand what made Bros tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Bros's music. We then listened to the song 'Drop The Boy' byBros, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Drop The Boy'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Drop The Boy' by Bros. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Drop The Boy' by Bros, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Bros track 'Drop The Boy'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Bros, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Drop The Boy', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Bros song ' Drop The Boy'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
