How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Enola Gay' by OMD

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many OMD tracks to try and understand what made OMD tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with OMD's music. We then listened to the song 'Enola Gay' byOMD, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Enola Gay'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Enola Gay' by OMD. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Enola Gay' by OMD, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original OMD track 'Enola Gay'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to OMD, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Enola Gay', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The OMD song ' Enola Gay'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
