How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Fairy Tales' by Anita Baker

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Anita Baker tracks to try and understand what made Anita Baker tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Anita Baker's music. We then listened to the song 'Fairy Tales' byAnita Baker, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Fairy Tales'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Fairy Tales' by Anita Baker. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Fairy Tales' by Anita Baker, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Anita Baker track 'Fairy Tales'.

We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Anita Baker song ' Fairy Tales'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
