How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Fluorescent Adolescent' by Arctic Monkeys

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Arctic Monkeys tracks to try and understand what made Arctic Monkeys tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Arctic Monkeys's music. We then listened to the song 'Fluorescent Adolescent' byArctic Monkeys, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Fluorescent Adolescent'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Fluorescent Adolescent' by Arctic Monkeys. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Fluorescent Adolescent' by Arctic Monkeys, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Arctic Monkeys track 'Fluorescent Adolescent'.

We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Arctic Monkeys song ' Fluorescent Adolescent'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
