How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Get Here' by Oleta Adams

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Oleta Adams tracks to try and understand what made Oleta Adams tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Oleta Adams's music. We then listened to the song 'Get Here' byOleta Adams, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Get Here'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Get Here' by Oleta Adams. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Get Here' by Oleta Adams, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Oleta Adams track 'Get Here'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Oleta Adams, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Get Here', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Oleta Adams song ' Get Here'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
