How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Glad You Came' by The Wanted

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Wanted tracks to try and understand what made The Wanted tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with The Wanted's music. We then listened to the song 'Glad You Came' byThe Wanted, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Glad You Came'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Glad You Came' by The Wanted. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Glad You Came' by The Wanted, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original The Wanted track 'Glad You Came'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to The Wanted, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Glad You Came', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Wanted song ' Glad You Came'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
