How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Hang On Sloopy' by McCoys

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many McCoys tracks to try and understand what made McCoys tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with McCoys's music. We then listened to the song 'Hang On Sloopy' byMcCoys, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Hang On Sloopy'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Hang On Sloopy' by McCoys. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Hang On Sloopy' by McCoys, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original McCoys track 'Hang On Sloopy'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to McCoys, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Hang On Sloopy', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The McCoys song ' Hang On Sloopy'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
