How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Have I The Right' by The Honeycombs

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Honeycombs tracks to try and understand what made The Honeycombs tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with The Honeycombs's music. We then listened to the song 'Have I The Right' byThe Honeycombs, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Have I The Right'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Have I The Right' by The Honeycombs. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Have I The Right' by The Honeycombs, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original The Honeycombs track 'Have I The Right'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to The Honeycombs, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Have I The Right', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Honeycombs song ' Have I The Right'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
