How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Highly Strung' by Spandau Ballet

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Highly Strung' by Spandau Ballet. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Highly Strung' by Spandau Ballet, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Spandau Ballet track 'Highly Strung'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Spandau Ballet, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Highly Strung', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Spandau Ballet song ' Highly Strung'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
