How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Hold Me' by Savage Garden

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Savage Garden tracks to try and understand what made Savage Garden tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Savage Garden's music. We then listened to the song 'Hold Me' bySavage Garden, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Hold Me'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Hold Me' by Savage Garden. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Hold Me' by Savage Garden, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Savage Garden track 'Hold Me'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Savage Garden, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Hold Me', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Savage Garden song ' Hold Me'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
