How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Hold Your Head Up' by Argent

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Argent tracks to try and understand what made Argent tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Argent's music. We then listened to the song 'Hold Your Head Up' byArgent, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Hold Your Head Up'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Hold Your Head Up' by Argent. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Hold Your Head Up' by Argent, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Argent track 'Hold Your Head Up'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Argent, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Hold Your Head Up', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Argent song ' Hold Your Head Up'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
