How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'I Can't Help Myself' by The Temptations

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Temptations tracks to try and understand what made The Temptations tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with The Temptations's music. We then listened to the song 'I Can't Help Myself' byThe Temptations, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'I Can't Help Myself'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'I Can't Help Myself' by The Temptations. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'I Can't Help Myself' by The Temptations, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original The Temptations track 'I Can't Help Myself'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to The Temptations, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'I Can't Help Myself', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Temptations song ' I Can't Help Myself'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
