How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'I Hear You Knocking' by Dave Edmunds

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Dave Edmunds tracks to try and understand what made Dave Edmunds tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Dave Edmunds's music. We then listened to the song 'I Hear You Knocking' byDave Edmunds, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'I Hear You Knocking'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'I Hear You Knocking' by Dave Edmunds. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'I Hear You Knocking' by Dave Edmunds, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Dave Edmunds track 'I Hear You Knocking'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Dave Edmunds, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'I Hear You Knocking', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Dave Edmunds song ' I Hear You Knocking'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
