How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'I Know Where It's At' by All Saints

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many All Saints tracks to try and understand what made All Saints tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with All Saints's music. We then listened to the song 'I Know Where It's At' byAll Saints, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'I Know Where It's At'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'I Know Where It's At' by All Saints. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'I Know Where It's At' by All Saints, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original All Saints track 'I Know Where It's At'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to All Saints, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'I Know Where It's At', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The All Saints song ' I Know Where It's At'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
