In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Westlife tracks to try and understand what made Westlife tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Westlife's music. We then listened to the song 'I Lay My Love On You' byWestlife, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'I Lay My Love On You'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'I Lay My Love On You' by Westlife. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'I Lay My Love On You' by Westlife, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Westlife track 'I Lay My Love On You'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Westlife, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'I Lay My Love On You', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Westlife song ' I Lay My Love On You'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
