In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Mungo Jerry tracks to try and understand what made Mungo Jerry tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Mungo Jerry's music. We then listened to the song 'In The Summertime' byMungo Jerry, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'In The Summertime'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'In The Summertime' by Mungo Jerry. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'In The Summertime' by Mungo Jerry, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Mungo Jerry track 'In The Summertime'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Mungo Jerry, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'In The Summertime', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Mungo Jerry song ' In The Summertime'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
