How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Layla' by Eric Clapton

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Eric Clapton tracks to try and understand what made Eric Clapton tracks sound so good! Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Layla' by Eric Clapton, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Eric Clapton track 'Layla'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Eric Clapton, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Layla', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Eric Clapton song ' Layla'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
