How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Lego House' by Ed Sheeran

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Ed Sheeran tracks to try and understand what made Ed Sheeran tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Ed Sheeran's music. We then listened to the song 'Lego House' byEd Sheeran, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Lego House'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Lego House' by Ed Sheeran. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Lego House' by Ed Sheeran, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Ed Sheeran track 'Lego House'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Ed Sheeran, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Lego House', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Ed Sheeran song ' Lego House'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
