How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Lost In Music' by Sister Sledge

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Sister Sledge tracks to try and understand what made Sister Sledge tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Sister Sledge's music. We then listened to the song 'Lost In Music' bySister Sledge, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Lost In Music'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Lost In Music' by Sister Sledge. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Lost In Music' by Sister Sledge, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Sister Sledge track 'Lost In Music'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Sister Sledge, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Lost In Music', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Sister Sledge song ' Lost In Music'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
