How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Louie Louie' by The Kingsmen

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Kingsmen tracks to try and understand what made The Kingsmen tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with The Kingsmen's music. We then listened to the song 'Louie Louie' byThe Kingsmen, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Louie Louie'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Louie Louie' by The Kingsmen. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Louie Louie' by The Kingsmen, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original The Kingsmen track 'Louie Louie'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to The Kingsmen, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Louie Louie', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Kingsmen song ' Louie Louie'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
