How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Lucky Man' by The Verve

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Verve tracks to try and understand what made The Verve tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with The Verve's music. We then listened to the song 'Lucky Man' byThe Verve, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Lucky Man'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Lucky Man' by The Verve. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Lucky Man' by The Verve, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original The Verve track 'Lucky Man'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to The Verve, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Lucky Man', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Verve song ' Lucky Man'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
