How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Lucky You' by Lightning Seeds

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Lightning Seeds tracks to try and understand what made Lightning Seeds tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Lightning Seeds's music. We then listened to the song 'Lucky You' byLightning Seeds, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Lucky You'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Lucky You' by Lightning Seeds. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Lucky You' by Lightning Seeds, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Lightning Seeds track 'Lucky You'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Lightning Seeds, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Lucky You', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Lightning Seeds song ' Lucky You'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
