How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Maybe This Time' by Cabaret

Creating a superb, Studio Quality, Professional Sound-a-like Karaoke, Playback, Backing Track is truly a musical challenge.

 

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Cabaret tracks to try and understand what made Cabaret tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Cabaret's music. We then listened to the song 'Maybe This Time' byCabaret, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Maybe This Time'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Maybe This Time' by Cabaret. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Maybe This Time' by Cabaret, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Cabaret track 'Maybe This Time'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Cabaret, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Maybe This Time', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Cabaret song ' Maybe This Time'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
