How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Million Miles Away' by Offspring

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Offspring tracks to try and understand what made Offspring tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Offspring's music. We then listened to the song 'Million Miles Away' byOffspring, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Million Miles Away'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Million Miles Away' by Offspring. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Million Miles Away' by Offspring, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Offspring track 'Million Miles Away'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Offspring, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Million Miles Away', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Offspring song ' Million Miles Away'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
