How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Na Na Is The Saddest Word' by The Stylistics

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Stylistics tracks to try and understand what made The Stylistics tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with The Stylistics's music. We then listened to the song 'Na Na Is The Saddest Word' byThe Stylistics, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Na Na Is The Saddest Word'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Na Na Is The Saddest Word' by The Stylistics. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Na Na Is The Saddest Word' by The Stylistics, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original The Stylistics track 'Na Na Is The Saddest Word'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to The Stylistics, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Na Na Is The Saddest Word', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Stylistics song ' Na Na Is The Saddest Word'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
