In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Craig Douglas tracks to try and understand what made Craig Douglas tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Craig Douglas's music. We then listened to the song 'Only Sixteen' byCraig Douglas, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Only Sixteen'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Only Sixteen' by Craig Douglas. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Only Sixteen' by Craig Douglas, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Craig Douglas track 'Only Sixteen'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Craig Douglas, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Only Sixteen', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Craig Douglas song ' Only Sixteen'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
