How SingMe.co.uk created a karaoke backing track for 'Our Song' by Taylor Swift

In this instance, the SingMe production team listened to many Taylor Swift tracks to try and understand what made Taylor Swift tracks sound so good! We gained an understanding of the musical genre associated with Taylor Swift's music. We then listened to the song 'Our Song' byTaylor Swift, a number of times to decide whether there were 'live' musicians playing the various parts of 'Our Song'.

 

SingMe producers studied the rhythm section - Drums, Bass, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards on 'Our Song' by Taylor Swift. They also listened out for 'live' strings, orchestra, brass licks and woodwind, such as flute and saxophone.

 

Wherever there were 'live' instruments on 'Our Song' by Taylor Swift, the SingMe production team used the very best professional session musicians to create an Instrumental, Playback, Karaoke Version Backing Track. We then overdubbed all the orchestral and brass parts until the track sounded very close to the original Taylor Swift track 'Our Song'.

 

The SingMe team then researched its very best session singers to find singers with voices similar to Taylor Swift, to sing backing vocals and harmonies on 'Our Song', where needed. We then recorded a singer who was really excellent at sounding like the lead singer or vocalist on The Taylor Swift song ' Our Song'. This singer created the Vocal Guide (VG). (The Vocal Guide is simply the Backing Track plus the Lead Vocal sung by a professional session singer to sound similar to the original Artist.)
